The widespread explosion of Web accessible resources has lead to new challenges in the traditional problems of query evaluation, data access, and service composition. 

The Semantic Web Group at the Universidad Simón Bolívar integrates people from multiple areas like Databases, Distributed Systems and Artificial Intelligence and its research work is focused on the solution of these problems.

 

The Universidad Simón Bolívar is a public highly ranked institution created in 1967. It is located in the Valle de Sartenejas in Caracas and in the seaside location of Valle de Camurí Grande in Vargas. Research at the USB is done in diverse engineering areas, social sciences, and applied and basic sciences. More than 25 thousand undergraduate professionals  and 5 thousand graduate students have graduated from the Universidad Simón Bolívar. The USB has agreements with several national and international research and academic centers.
